Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. (BMS) has announced the launch of its new RuggedJet 3 mobile label and receipt printer series at RetailNOW 2014, August 3-6, in Orlando, FL, USA. Sponsored by the RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association), the event highlights technology systems and products for the retail industry.

The RuggedJet 3 is the newest addition to the growing family of Brother printers for retailers. Engineered to be fast, simple and extremely intuitive for retail associates to use, these label and receipt printers also come equipped with the connectivity, OS and warranty features that retail decision makers want in the 3-inch category.

The RJ-3150 model features a large, full-color graphical LCD display – an industry first – with intuitive, interactive menus that simplify printing of 1-inch to 3-inch wide shelf edge labels, POS receipts and product labels. Brother Mobile Solutions credits this new enhancement to the technological expertise of parent company Brother International – a 60-year market leader in printing products for the small office, home office industry.

The series features two models, the RJ-3050 and the RJ-3150, both with dual wireless connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth for reliable operational mobility inside, outside, or virtually anywhere in the store. The RuggedJet 3 also meets the urgent need for printers that work with multiple operating systems and devices. The series is compatible with Windows, iOS, Android, Windows Mobile laptops, tablets and smartphones. And with ZPL II and CPCL emulations, this printer can be a direct drop-in replacement for many other 3-inch printers currently deployed.
